- Hi!
-
- My problem is: How can I manage to install Eudora in a network drive to allow
- sharing between users. I have tried to copy the files to a directory, but
- if you do so, all the users write its mailboxes, aliases, etc to the same
- directory (resulting in chaos). I have even tried to put a local (c:)
- directory
- in the program manager's "Working Directory", but it doesn't work either.
-
- I would like some help about this, and about any parameters configurable
- trough
- the "eudora.ini" file.
-
- (thanks)

- More than likely it's *NOT* winsock compliant because NetManage uses their
- own TCP/IP stack for their programs--NOT winsock.dll. Go figure. They just
- provide the winsock.dll so that other winsock applications can be run with
- Chameleon. I guess so long as they follow the TCP/IP protocols, they can use
- what ever stack they want to.

- I am having the exact same problem with my system. When I load the PC
- Anywhere host driver, I get the "cannot allocate network buffers" error. When
- I unload PC Anywhere, everything is copacetic (love that word). If anyone has
- a solution, I'd like to hear.

- I appreciate the comments.... to clear the record, the following are
- available from ftp.usma.edu in /pub/msdos/winsock.files
-
- ws_ftp.zip - current verison of the ftp executable (94.03.08)
- ws_ftp_s.zip - 93.12.05 version of source and ftp executable
- ws_ping.zip - 94.01.23 version of source and ping executable
-
- Source has not been released since 93.12.05 and won't be. The
- basic FTP engine in the 93.12.05 version is valid with a couple of
- notes.... Eliminate any calls to Shutdown(...) so it works with Novell
- and FTP Inc stacks. Rewrite the ReadLine routine so that it does
- not use the MSG_PEEK arg to recv so that it will work with Novell.
- As distributed, it works just fine with Trumpet (at least 1.0A) and
- Microsoft stacks.
